A 2026 review found extracorporeal shockwave reduces fibrosis by modulating TGF-β1, MAPK, VEGF, and inflammatory pathways (Huang et al., Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research, 2026). In degenerative rotator-cuff tendinopathy with partial-thickness tearing, a 2026 randomized trial found radial ESWT improved ASES scores more than multimodal physical therapy (Wang et al., Journal of Clinical Medicine, 2026;15:471). In lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow), a 2026 randomized trial found radial ESWT plus exercise reduced pain more than exercise alone at 6 and 12 weeks (Journal of Orthopaedic Science, 2026). A new-patient comprehensive exam is $270 and includes a full history, physical examination, and an explanation of the diagnosis; no treatment is performed on the first visit. Follow-up visits are $90 and typically run 10-15 minutes.
